What you will achieve
As a Vulnerability Management Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting vulnerability remediation activities in Dell's engineering environments, working with product, infrastructure, and DevOps teams, and collaborating closely with the Corporate Security and Resiliency, Cybersecurity Assurance and Operations, and Vulnerability Management organizations.
You will:
- Lead remediation efforts within engineering environments, actively engaging various internal stakeholders to perform holistic management of identified vulnerabilities and drive necessary actions to increase the efficiency of vulnerability management processes.
- Analyze security issues, determine root cause and impact, and identify necessary corrective actions to eliminate and prevent the event from occurring again in the future.
- Provide technical guidance on vulnerability remediation and mitigation options, in partnership with other Security and Business teams when appropriate.
- Review processes and technical implementations to identify opportunities for improvement in remediation or effectiveness as part of root cause analysis (RCA), proposing process improvements or design changes.
- Assist stakeholders with issues related to vulnerability scanning and reporting, leading troubleshooting, suggesting changes in scanning configuration and strategy, and report generation.

Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience in vulnerability management, Security Architecture, and/or Security Operations.
- Practical experience with vulnerability scanning and management tools (Nexpose, Tenable, Qualys, Prisma Cloud, Aqua, or equivalents) and experience in vulnerability management activities in on-premises data center environments and/or cloud technologies.
- Experience in analyzing systems and identifying security issues, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and remediation.
- Experience in business process management, program management, and/or executive communication.
- Solid understanding of DevOps processes, pipelines, and the use of security tools to support DevSecOps teams.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with configuration hardening based on CIS benchmarks, conducting policy scans using vulnerability scanning tools, and performing configuration hardening activities.
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and custom detection logic.
