What you will achieve

As a Security Review Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting security reviews on firewall change requests, proxy change requests, third-party access requests, and reviewing any new technology introduced at Dell. You will work with internal Dell requesters to ensure that requested changes or technologies are secure and meet all Dell security requirements, policies, and standards. You will also participate in other security-related projects and contribute to tool and process improvements used by the Cybersecurity – Security Architecture team.

You will:

• Evaluate information security solutions and processes, providing recommendations aligned with Dell standards, as well as documenting activities performed and risks identified.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and business leaders to understand AI-driven use cases and document security requirements.
• As needed, participate in or work directly on additional projects, tasks, or initiatives related to the Network Communication and Security domain and one or more other security domains.
• Manage client interactions professionally, ensuring high satisfaction and fulfilling requests via email or internal systems within established guidelines and deadlines.
• Conduct exception management for policy exceptions following formal review and approval processes.
• Participate in additional projects, initiatives, or tasks as necessary, contributing to the continuous evolution of security processes and practices.

Essential Requirements

• Professional experience in IT or a related functional area, with knowledge of network and security fundamentals, application and network security concepts, and familiarity with common protocols and services (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, LDAP, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English proficiency, with oral and written communication skills and familiarity in creating or reviewing technical documentation.
• Ability and interest in quickly learning new technologies, applying concepts practically as guided by the team.

Desirable Requirements

• Relevant certifications, such as Network+, CCNA, Security+, CEH, or other network and information security credentials.
• Relevant academic background, including a bachelor's degree in IT, Networks, Information Security, Software Development, or related areas.
