Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an outstanding engineer to join our early-stage fintech as part of our founding team, as such you'll play a pivotal role in:

• Designing our foundational system architecture;
• Deciding our modern technology stack;
• Developing our key applications;
• Launching new products and iterating on product roadmap;
• Forming our engineering culture, promoting best practices and long-term focus

Ideal Profile 

• Professional Background: 
• Required 10-13 years of experience with backend software development
• i.e. year of graduation 2012 to 2018 2015
• Required +2 years of experience in production-level software development with Go

• Other Key Requirements:
• Language: Required at least Full Professional Proficiency in English
• Location: Required at least 3x a week in office
• Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Vila Madalena in São Paulo

• Academic Background: 
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Preferred Master/PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields

• Success Track Record: 
• Preferred graduated from top schools and/or with top grades
• Preferred participated and/or won in competitions, received work-related awards
• Preferred active leader in the community, has published articles, given lectures etc. 
• Preferred other demonstrable proofs of ambition, intelligence and/or resilience 

• Hard Skills: 
• Preferred experience with early-stage start-ups, specially 0 to 1 stage
• Preferred experience with fintech, specially payments in Brazil
• Preferred experience with Uber's Go libraries and framework
• Preferred experience with microservices and event-driven architecture (e.g. Kafka)
• Preferred experience with different APIs models, including GraphQL
• Preferred experience with DevOps best practices (e.g. Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Pulumi etc.)
• Preferred experience with AWS
