AI Equity Research Engineer

  About the Role join an investing startup founded by veterans of a top-tier US hedge fund. We are looking for a highly autonomous, self-driven analyst to help develop and evolve our equity process at JMR, with AI being a key component. The role is a blend of an equity analyst role, and an AI/technical engineer helping to shape a process that will applied to a large number of companies and portfolio construction. We are looking for someone who has interest in finance and loves developing processes and has already been using AI to drive productivity. In this role, you will help analyze companies and industries, but most importantly brings together unstructured and structured data— raw market data, JMR structured market data, Substacks, YouTube transcripts, email subscriptions, and our internal APIs—into a cohesive, AI-assisted process to analyze companies and keep the CIO informed. Ability and drive are more important to us than experience, though prior equity/financial experience and/or building of processes are pluses.

 You will work directly with the CIO, an investor with 25+ years of experience in both macro and micro investing at a top US hedge fund, as well as our CTO, a veteran developer with 20+ years of experience building hardened business systems as well as investors and investment concepts. As well as a group on younger remote analysts.
