We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to work in the Data Science (Center of Excellence) area, developing advanced analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on real business problems. The role's essence is applied technical skills for business, acting from data exploration to the delivery of solutions that generate measurable and sustainable impact.
Responsibilities
- Work on strategic business use cases, translating needs into effective, data-driven analytical solutions.
- Work with large volumes of data, conducting end-to-end analyses — from data exploration, understanding, and preparation to final delivery.
- Consume, clean, and analyze data, ensuring quality, integrity, traceability, and statistical coherence.
- Develop, validate, and evolve ad-hoc studies and statistical and Machine Learning models, ensuring performance, stability, explainability, and continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle.
- Monitor model and analysis performance indicators, proposing adjustments and evolutions when necessary.
- Contribute to the construction, maintenance, and evolution of Feature Stores, supporting standardization, reuse, and governance of analytical attributes.
- Create, maintain, and evolve notebooks and pipelines in Databricks, with clean, efficient, versioned code adhering to best practices in analytical engineering.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary squads (Data Governance, Data Engineering, BI, and Business), translating demands into viable analytical solutions.
- Communicate results, hypotheses, and insights in a clear, objective, and strategic manner, using data visualization and storytelling.
- Maintain focus on the end user and value generated, ensuring that analytical outputs are actionable and relevant.
- Keep up with trends, techniques, and best practices in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI, applying knowledge pragmatically to the business context.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
- Solid experience as a Senior Data Scientist working on complex analytical problems and large-scale data environments.
- Solid experience with Machine Learning algorithms, such as regression, classification, decision trees, clustering, and probabilistic models.
- Proficiency in PySpark and data science and statistical modeling libraries.
- Consistent knowledge in feature engineering and Feature Store.
- Robust knowledge in data cleaning, preparation, and analysis.
- Ability to structure analyses autonomously, with critical thinking, business vision, and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and analytical results clearly and accessibly to different audiences.
