About the Position

You will join a small team of highly skilled engineers building and operating advanced technology for the coffee industry. We develop SaaS products that run across mobile, web, and hardware, and we’re constantly evolving, iterating, and validating new solutions.

In this role, you will contribute both to maintaining our existing platforms and creating new products. You’ll collaborate closely with our customers, internal researchers, coffee scientists, and data scientists developing AI models — helping bridge technology with real-world coffee applications.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Backend Software Engineer, with proficiency in Python and Node.js.

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, Pub/Sub, serverless services, and CI/CD.

• Strong knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Solid experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Experience handling mid-to-large datasets and integrating data from multiple sources.

• Understanding of system architecture best practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and infrastructure management.

• Fluent English (written and spoken).

• Spanish fluency is a plus.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

• While this is primarily a backend position, front-end skills in React and React Native are highly valued.

• Interest or experience in hardware and IoT, with a maker mentality.

• Knowledge of NIR (Near-Infrared) technology.

• Previous experience in a startup environment, especially in agriculture or coffee-related industries.

🔎 Work Model:

• Remote with some occasional on-site meetings at the company (around 6 per year), fully covered by the company.

💰 Compensation Range:

• Up to 18,000 BRL/month (Contractor/ PJ).
